Creating A Vintage Bathroom

At this time of the year, you may find that you’re in a really good mood and you’re excited to get the year into full swing. Not only can you do this with your foodie experiences and the travel that you plan to do (exciting) – but you can apply it to the home too. If you are in the new year, new me mindset right now, then you could definitely apply that to your home make sure that that sparkles too. We all know that home maintenance isn’t always fun, but it can make your home look incredible and that too makes you feel great. So here are some home tasks you can get on with right away that are perfect for January.

  1. Have A Huge Clear Out

It’s always good to start with a big clear out. We all have clutter. Even when we don’t think that we do. It’s easy to accumulate things throughout the year. And so, starting off with a big sort out of the major rooms (especially the kitchen) is always a lot of fun.

  1. Deep Clean The House

When you’ve completed the clear out, the next thing for you to do is to tackle the cleaning. Nothing feels better than a good old deep clean! And, when you’re done, you may realize that your house feels so much more renewed. Even jobs like cleaning the oven or grout cleaning can be perfect for this month – whether you do them yourself or hire help. You’ll feel refreshed either way.

  1. Spruce Up The Fabrics

Fabrics hold on to smell. And they are easy to overlook. But things like your curtains and couches could do with a quick refresh. Cleaning the curtains and spraying them, and doing the same with your couch can help bring more life back into your rooms. Even the carpets too!

  1. Refresh Your Closet

Every season, it’s easy for your wardrobe to overflow. Whether you add new pieces or not, things do tend to get a little busy and chaotic. And so, one of the tasks you can do is refresh your wardrobe this month. When you are able to have a bit of a sort out, not only is this area more organized but you may also get more use out of your clothing too. And that’s always a bonus.

  1. Update Your Pantry

Finally, you may also want to take a look at your pantry and give that a bit of a refresh too. More often than not, you may find that you gather different items in your pantry – some that have been there for a really long time. So, it’s nice to be able to refresh everything and make sure that you remove the items that are out of date, or use up some of the things that are due to expire soon through the month. It will help you to feel a lot more organized in the kitchen.
