Hula Moon's Voodoo Mahi Mahi

The original recipe called for Grouper, but I used Mahi instead and it was delish!!!

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 oz. Grouper or Mahi filet
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Teaspoon butter
  • ½ cup store bought grits
  • 1 oz. parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 T blackened seasoning
  • 1 T butter
  • 8-10 shrimp Very Small Shrimp
  • green beans

Instructions

  1. Season with pinch Montreal Seasoning and pan-sear both sides of mahi filet.
  2. Put in oven to finish.
  3. Grits:
  4. Bring liquids and butter to a boil.
  5. Stir in grits
  6. Boil for 1 minute
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Stir in cheese
  9. Salt and pepper to taste
  10. Green Beans:
  11. Cut and clean green beans
  12. Boil 5 minutes.
  13. Serve hot.
  14. Cajun Cream Shrimp:
  15. Melt butter and cook shrimp in a pan
  16. De-glaze with heavy cream and reduce by half
  17. Pour over grouper filet
  18. Enjoy.
