Hula Moon's Voodoo Mahi Mahi

The original recipe called for Grouper, but I used Mahi instead and it was delish!!!

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 oz. Grouper or Mahi filet
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Teaspoon butter
  • ½ cup store bought grits
  • 1 oz. parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 T blackened seasoning
  • 1 T butter
  • 8-10 shrimp Very Small Shrimp
  • green beans

Instructions

  • Season with pinch Montreal Seasoning and pan-sear both sides of mahi filet.
  • Put in oven to finish.
  • Grits:
  • Bring liquids and butter to a boil.
  • Stir in grits
  • Boil for 1 minute
  • Remove from heat
  • Stir in cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green Beans:
  • Cut and clean green beans
  • Boil 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
  • Cajun Cream Shrimp:
  • Melt butter and cook shrimp in a pan
  • De-glaze with heavy cream and reduce by half
  • Pour over grouper filet
  • Enjoy.
